We are expecting a good crowd so please don’t miss out if there is any way you can be there. Justin, Frances and Kevin, of O’Faolain’s have laid in extra kegs of Guinness for the event and the Special Menu of wonderful Irish food is all ready to go. They are donating $3 for each item ordered from that menu and a dollar for every pint of Guinness and assorted house drinks sold between 5 and closing plus a special donation. If you can’t make we understand and hope that you might still help out by donating. Any amount helps us help the YRF folks help our troops and their families. For those who will be with us tomorrow, please don’t forget your checkbooks! We do this to remember Scott and honor him but also because our help for the troops is always needed. YRF Executive Director Mark Robbins and Marie Robey Wood – Director of Communications will be on hand to talk with you about their work and take donations along with other Yellow Ribbon staff.

Here are directions for those of you who are coming from the DC area, specifically someplace in Maryland or Northern Virginia and a link to Google Maps in case you need a picture… or even directions from Bethesda in general…
Marylanders, rest easy that this foray into deep Virginia is not as scary as you may think. Simply take the Beltway across the American Legion Bridge and head west on the Dulles Toll Road (VA -267) to the exit for RT 28 NORTH. There is a toll so be prepared for that. Take 28 NORTH to RT 7 EAST. As you come off the ramp onto RT 7 begin to make your way across to the leftmost lane. At the second traffic light, Palisades Parkway/Loudoun Tech Dr. hang a U-turn. Stay in the right lane and take your first right on Davenport Dr. into the Regal Center. O’Faolain’s parking lot is the first left and then on your right.
For those who are staying at the Hyatt Place it is a right turn instead at that same second light onto Loudoun Tech Dr. and a left onto Ridgetop Circle. Remember to ask for the Yellow Ribbon Fundraiser room rate. They run a shuttle bus to and from O’Faolain’s until 11PM, they will drop you off and then just call the hotel and they will come and get you.
See you there!
Ed
